Newton Open Studios is celebrating it’s 20th year from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 and 2, with 140 artists at pop-up exhibit/sales locations throughout Newton. These pop-ups — at artists’ homes, studios and area institutions — will be filled with paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography and more. The two-day event is one of the largest and longest running annual art events in the region.Special events, demos and locations with extended hours are listed on the website.
